In 2022, Mr. Mushroom was founded by husband-and-wife team Saket and Gunjan, both accomplished professionals with strong foundations in science and engineering and decades of leadership in the IT industry. After successful careers managing global teams and driving innovation in the tech world, they chose to channel their knowledge and passion into a new frontier — sustainable agriculture.

Their inspiration? The extraordinary world of mushrooms. With a vision to create nutritious, eco-friendly food and build a business grounded in nature and purpose, they launched Mr. Mushroom.

Growing Smart, Growing Sustainably

By 2023, Mr. Mushroom had outgrown its humble beginnings. Saket and Gunjan expanded operations into a modular farm designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind. Drawing on their background in systems design and operations management, they built automated, data-driven growing processes that minimized waste and maximized yield — all while keeping their environmental footprint small.

Alongside production, they launched community workshops and beginner-friendly mushroom kits to spread their knowledge and inspire others to explore urban farming.
